Nôi's story
Vietnamese moss artisan, Trang Vivian, after breaking away from her corporate origins finds her passion in Botanical art, especially preserved moss art. She has made her mark in the art world by creating art inspired by the coexistence between human beings and nature.
By utilizing colors, shapes, and natural materials for their traditionally symbolic meanings, Trang can imbue her art with lush, vividly colored aesthetics as well as rich philosophic and personal themes. She consistently accumulated knowledge and experimented with different methods, and materials to master his own artistic language.
In addition to her unique approach to visuals and incredible attention to detail, Trang’s ambition of showing the beauty of nature shines through in her work.
“People often think art is distant and difficult to appreciate, but a forest, a mountain stream, quiet hilltop... is different; everyone knows how to admire a nature. In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted and bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.”
The hardest thing when doing moss art is not just only making something amazing but also be patient enough to fall in love with the process in between when trying to turn an idea into something reality. The enchanting beauty of preserved moss art captures nature’s timeless essence, bringing serenity and life to any space. With its lush textures and vibrant greens, preserved moss art infuses rooms with a calming presence that reconnects us to the natural world.
She belives that this beautiful and aesthetically enchanting material can be used to create far more artwork that would bring nature a step closer to home, office or any space. Now she has a small studio in Ho Chi Minh where she do moss art and sharing her passion with other people.
